2019 Chevy Equinox

There are four various trim levels, each coming with various standard components and available features. There is the L, LS, LT, and Premier. All four of those trims have an FWD system and all but the L have an option to get an AWD system.

The standard engine in the Equinox is the 1.5L Turbo 4-cylinder engine. This direct-injection engine with Variable Valve Timing is matched with a 6-speed automatic transmission and will give you 170 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque.

There are also two other available engines in the LT and Premier trim levels. The available 1.6L Turbo-Diesel engine that also is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission produces 137 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque.

The third option, the available 2.0L Turbo 4-cylinder engine, delivers 252 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. This engine is combined with a 9-speed automatic transmission. All that power results in 1,500-3,500 pounds of towing capacity, varying based on your configuration.

There are a handful of extremely useful safety features that come standard in the 2019 Equinox. The Rear Vision Camera will display on the infotainment screen the view of what is directly behind the vehicle when in reverse.

The Rear Seat Reminder will help you remember to check your back seats before you exit the Equinox. And the StabiliTrak® electronic stability control system with traction control helps you stay in control by adjusting the brakes and torque when called upon.
